Random Character Generator is built to be privacy-friendly. This policy explains what we collect (very little) and how we handle it. By using the site, you agree to this policy.

Information we don’t collect

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for personal information. The Classic character generator runs entirely in your browser, and the characters you generate are not stored on our servers or associated with you.

Analytics

We may use a privacy-friendly, cookie-light analytics tool (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible) to understand aggregate traffic — for example, which generators are popular. These tools do not build advertising profiles and do not track you across other websites. We do not send the text of generated characters to analytics.

Optional AI generation

If you use an optional “Generate with AI” feature, your selected filters are sent to our server, which calls a third-party AI provider to create a character. We log only technical metadata (provider, model, timing, and error type) for reliability — not the full content of what you generate. Provider API keys are kept server-side and never exposed to your browser.

Cookies

The core site does not rely on tracking cookies. Any analytics we enable is chosen for its minimal, privacy-respecting footprint.

Children’s privacy

The site is family-safe and intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
